“Oh, you probably don’t want me to come over because I’m on the JCW list”

An acquaintance from a long time ago contacted me and tried to invite himself to my home numerous times. He was very persistent. I did not know at the time that he is a convicted sexual predator. Thankfully, each time he wanted to come and visit or stay with us for a Shabbat or holiday, it was impossible for us to have any guests.

After several months, he called me and said, “Oh, you probably don’t want me to come over because I’m on the JCW list”. I had no idea what he was referring to, but after a 30-second Google search, I found myself staring in shock at his photo on the JCW Wall of Shame. Needless to say, I was horrified.

I’m thankful that G-d protected me and my family from this sick and dangerous individual, and I’m also forever grateful to JCW for creating this invaluable resource in their efforts to protect our communities.

– From a grateful parent
