In 2011, Gil Dvash, then age 56, pled guilty to multiple counts of indecent sexual acts against multiple male minors, ages 9 through 13, that he perpetrated between the years of 2006 and 2008. Dvash's risk assessment, which was conducted during the course of the criminal proceedings, indicated that Dvash had begun to act out sexually from the age of 14 and had continued to do so on a regular basis for years. The Jerusalem district court sentenced him to 5.5 years in prison.
