In 2005, Naftali Edri was arrested on numerous charges of sexually assaulting three adolescent minors. According to the charges, Edri worked as a commercial delivery man and in the course of his work, met the teens who he convinced to come with him to secluded areas, where he committed severe sexual acts of sodomy, attempted sodomy, and other indecent acts against and in the presence of the minors. In November 2007 the Tel Aviv municipal court convicted and sentenced him to 20 years incarceration, which was amended to 18 years on appeal. He may be due to be released as early as 2018.
