Ackerman-Nir was arrested and changed with sexual assault of two female minors, and one male minor, in which he violated their trust in carrying out the sexual acts.
In 2016 Ackerman-Nir pled guilty and was sentenced to 8.5 years imprisonment, probation, and financial compensation to his victims.
In 2019 Ackerman-Nir was charged with sexual assault of an additional female minor who came forward.
